Hi Guy's.
I made a couple of Beaver boards. How do I determine what line to put the skin on?

its trial and error til you get familiar with sizing beaver. Its better to have them loose on the board than to overstretch the fur. If you have to fight to get 10 nails in it, go to the next smaller ring. I start with nose/tail, side/side to make a square. One nail evenly between the square sides. Once you get about 12 nails in, the rest will go easy. Keep the nails close, within 1" of each other, 3/4" will be best. Ill be putting up some beaver this week so I'll take lots of pictures to post here.

You can estimate where to start by hanging that beaver up by the nose, measuring from the nose to the other end (longest measurement) then doing as follows; Lets say that measurement is 30 inches;
Add half of that measurement to the 30, so 30 +15 = 45 Now add 10% of that to that total, so 45 + 4.5 = 49.5
Now round off to the nearest pattern on your board. If you have a 50 inch mark start there. I've always found that if you are trying to stretch too tight you'll know by nail # 7 or 8. If too tight, move it down to the next size on your board.
I am assuming you have a board with a pattern with marked sizes.
