I think it is a good price. I would have thought it a good price even if it did not have the red dot with it.

Here's a bit of nostaliga that will make you wish for the good old days. My first handgun that I bought when I got my permit in 1978 was a Ruger Single Six. I paid $75.00 for it used, hunter holster, both cylinders, and tax included. In the late eighties I sold it for $250.00! The Ruger bull barrel you mention, I bought one of those used ,for $80.00 in 1979 while a sopmore in college. It took a whole weeks pay at the grocery store where I worked after classes to pay for it. It would have also only taken two fox from the trapline that fall, with fur prices as they were then, to pay for it. The second summer I had it, I cut the barrel back to 4'' in my lathe and filed the hook off the front sight and re-mounted it. Really made a difference in handling and much better than the standard model which only had open sights available at the time. I see now that they offer such a version and wonder it I should have wrote a letter to Ruger back then, about the one I modified. It is a very accurate and reliable gun, you won't go wrong with it. Mine's not for sale either!
