During bow hunting I have heard alot of coyotes, brookfield, cassville etc. Not hearing much howlind and have not been sucessful in calling any in with my
predator calls. saw a hudge yote in sauquoit. say 50-60 lbs...Limping running next to the road, trap pull out maybe. The yotes may be moving around or spooked during the gun season???

they are in love right now. They could be anywhere at anytime doing anything................ could be a hundred reasons for the limp, trap pull out, hit by a car, dose of lead, got its butt whooped, old age, old wound, ect. ect. the callers around here hit them pretty early and use the same calls time after time, same breaks in sequence ect..... hell after awhile I can even tell the call and who is calling, not unusual to trap a few coyotes each year that is carring around a dose of lead or healing from a gun shot wound in one form or another, but like wayne said they could be anywhere at anytime doing anything, this time of the year.....jim
