Light?

Well, last friday I went on my first ever coyote night hunt. I can honestly say it was the most amazing time I have EVER spent hunting! I saw and heard more animals than I even knew existed in that area. Anyhow, I was wondering what you guys use for lights. We were using a regular high power shop light. It lit up the animals, but in all cases it was hard to make a 100% ID on the animal. Somtimes deer looked like coyotes and it wasnt until they moved that you could tell. Luckily my buddy and I have a lot of patience. We didnt take any shots that night even though we saw a lot of game, including yotes. Didnt want to make the mistake of shootin a dog or fox and not a yote.
Also, when do you turn you light on?

we have the light on all the time when we are calling and we stay on stand 30 to 35 min when we hunt coyotes after deer season.

there is a great light called the predator light fits in palm of hand and rechargeabla last 4 hours or more on high can id animals over 100 yards eyes at least 400 yards. but it is 300 usd. and you dont need the red lens it doesnt spook animals. bought one for son last year light is real amazing but expensive. . alot of the guys on this web site (BARK AT THE MOON COYOTE CLUB) use them also. thats a great predator hunting site mostly guys from new york and mostly western ny. www.restorc.com link for light barkmoon.proboards.com link for predator hunting
