Region 9 ECTA fur auction was a success. Great turn out, fair prices, and the Boy Scouts sold HD/HB. A coyote that would be hard to tell from a red fox in color went for $26. Buyers from Ohio, PA and NY were there. They had demos on skinning coyote, fox, beaver, raccoon, and muskrats. It was held at S&S Taxidermy just south of Buffalo in Springville, NY. They have a great store and a nice place to buy some new traps for that wonderful wife back home. www.sstaxidermy.com There were plenty on hand to answer question from novice to old timer. Everyone had a common bond and a smile on their face. Trappers and all outdoorsmen are the best.

Sounds like a great event. any fur handling demonstration a person can witness is well worth their time. There is way to much fur wasted to improper handling. Ed

Thanks for posting about the sale. Are they planning another this year? If so, I can add it to the calendar.

They only hold this auction once a year!! price ranges as follows!! coon- $4-12, redfox-$12-$19, grey fox-$21, coyote which tere was only one wet for $26, RATS-$2.75-$8.10, mink $10-$14,Skunks- $8-$13, and finally beaver $14-25.. these are the ranges from high to low that i tried to remember in my head. It was a good auction. it was definetly worth a trappers while if he had beaver, rats and mink!! These prices were for green and put up fur!!!
