With a moon like it was Saturday night, I couldn't resist going out to try and get my hands on my first yote. First set-up, 4th sequence in, about 20mins from when I started calling this big male loped over a hill not 20yds in front of me. I put up my .17HMR and pulled the trigger, and all I got was a "click". worked the bolt, now about 35yds, "click", then about 50yds, "click" then about 60yds, "click". All I was thinking was what the heck and then I noticed that the clip wasn't pushed in all the way (there was a shell in the chamber and it did misfire). I popped the clip in, and dropped him at about 80 or 90yds. MY FIRST COYOTE man I was excited, as were my 2 friends that came along to watch. This ones heading straight to the tannery! I was guessing about 40lbs, he wasn't very light I'll tell you that much and just for reference, with them boots on I stand about 5' 9". It took 3 years, but I finally got one to come to the call in the right spot. I called him in with the Lil Dog call.

Thanks guys, definitely one of the most exciting things in my hunting career, I had to work my butt off for him.
