I finally shot my first deer (ever). I was in my tree stand and heard something to my left and slightly behind. I saw a decent sized doe. Two does had run by in a hurry about a 1/2 hour before. I drew my bow and put her down. I went over took a few pictures with my phone camera (I forgot my real camera at home). I flipped her over to field dress her and discovered my doe had a thingy. I took a closer look at the head and found out my "doe" was a button buck. By button buck I mean button. There was only one tiny antler and it was very small. Took it home and butchered it. I have a large section of the hide and the tail drying in my basement.

Way to go, always a thrill, but never as much as the first.
