Due to a school break excellently placed on opening weekend of bow season I was able to get four days of hunting in. I only needed one and a little more to start filling the freezer. This doe came in just before 8 sunday morning. Didnt pace it off but I would say between 12 and 14 yards. Hit a little high and back but still had a single lung hit(pass thru) she ran 250 to 300 yards to be my 3rd deer with the bow. Now I just have to fill the other tag (saving for a buck) then I will have a lot of free time to trap.

I got this deer just outside of Wellsville (25 minutes away from school) at my aunt and uncles place. That is their dog who is the inspector/guarddog of any deer we get. We have to let her out every 15 minutes as long as there is a deer at camp. We have only seen 4 bucks, 2 6points maybe 8's, a 4 point, and a very small bodied button buck but it is early in the season still.
