How many use a 5 gallon bucket for fisher trapping or should it be a wooden box? Just seeing what is better.

I have only used wooden boxes so don’t know how the buckets would compare.

I would think the buckets would be more difficult to meet legal requirements, however the wooden boxes are a lot heavier to lug around.

Thank you for your reply. You guys right I try cut a bucket and it is flimsy. So I'll be making wooden boxs.

I used a square bucket and a 160 w/KB stablizer, the trap fit inside the bucket without cutting, I stapled the trap chain and the stablizer with one staple. the whole thing is very stable and dog proof when used on a pole off the ground plus the trap is inside the box (weatherproof}. If theft is a problem these really stand out!
