Great photo. That looks like some really crappy soil to try and make dirt hole sets in... ;D

Actually that sandy soil is great for making sets in, the trap beds and drains very well. Just be sure that you use a pan cover if rain is expected. I can only assume it's simalar to the sandy soil I have in my area, I'm sure Ed will let us know how it is

That sand is mine taillings. That is what is seperated from iron ore. It is finer than any sand you have ever seen. Right there it is about a quarter of a mile deep. its fairly easy to work in,you dont need a sifter. Thanks for your interest and kind comments. Ed
