I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again at Von's Flatiron Fur Shed on Saturday. I'll be purchasing all species of fur and beaver castor. Just, as Von said above, no green fur as I currently have no time to process it and no freezer space to store it.
The address of the Flatiron Fur Shed is: 3213 County Route 18, Stanley, NY.
See you all there!

Wish I could go, the round-trip would be a little more than I am able to do right now. How does Princess Kathleen, Courtney of Hochul's mask mandate affect things? At least it's not also a "social distancing" mandate... yet.

See you all there! John Rockwood Rockwood Fur IF in fact I manage to trap any water furs of value, they are all yours. If in fact I manage to find any semi-local numbers worth the effort.
Just took the exploratory ride around my bid units in Montezuma and I see a couple of my neighbors to the west and north have some clusters of rat houses. But my unit and a friend's unit who's usually good for 1,000+ rats yearly have little more than dingweeds, open water and the occasional token fresh house sprinkled about. Sparingly so. The once great Montezuma wetlands complex ain't what she used to be for muskrats production.

NYS inland muskrat populations are dismal here in the western zone. Along with too many other states. I drive past countless locations that used to be stacked with houses or riddled with bank dens before. Nothing now, not even a cut blade of grass. Scattered remnant populations remain. It's sad for everybody.
