For you guys that do this, how do you charge? Specifically for beaver removal. I have a guy that has nuisance permits for a snowmobile club and they want me to do the work. I’ve never charged for this so have no idea where to start with them. Per animal? Flat rate? What are some things you do? Thanks for any help!

Charging for beaver removal. I do some for a local township and it is per animal. Private person I'll charge set up fee and a per animal charge. I also trade beaver trapping for hunting and trapping permission which is sometimes priceless

Make sure you charge enough $$$ First few beaver will seem like easy money. The last 1 or 2 will make you wish you charged more. Just my $.02

I charge a setup fee and then a per beaver fee. Your setup should be in the 100.00 range and beaver in the 65.00 or better range, depends on if its mom and pop wanting them removed or a state run or muncipal facility. I agree with above, last one or two can be tough.

Also, specify whether you are just trapping OR doing partial dam removal. If all the beaver are gone, minimal work (though never easy) is needed to lower water levels immediately......and I charge for dam removal as well, usually just rolling it up and into the set up fee price and/or the per-animal price.
This is skilled labor....we are all guilty of feeling guilty for charging for this service, which if you think about it, it's silly. Plumbers, electricians, mechanics, etc. all charge for every minute of their time....so should we.
That said, if you horse-trade for other permissions and/or trap beaver for one of your best farmers, than charging can get tricky.
If a stranger or town or business call me and I have no other intrinsic ties to the property or additional gain, I charge accordingly. If they don't want to pay, well, they have a problem, but it ain't MY problem.....
