I have found that any lure with skunk in it works very good for attracting fisher. I am partial to Night Owl Lures Crossbones, it has a great smell to it and lasts a long time ;D I use primarily dirt holes to catch my fisher because I like the chance of a fox or 'yote at the same time so any bait that you use for K-9's will work for fisher as well. I use a lot of beaver and muskrat for bait and had very good luck with a bobcat base bait by Paul Dobbins this year.

as ou can see this was a simple bucket set. This set is for fisher although you may catch a coon. I use skunk on a wire above and near the set,I want it a little out of the way so I dont get into it when I am checking. The skunk gets them there. I like beaver for bait and hedge hogs. skin the porkeys so you dont have a quill mess. as far as lure in one of these sets, other than the skunk you dont need any,but something you can use is beaver castor and oil sacks. The animal is there primarily because of the skunk, now its ready to eat. Forget the fancy lures in the bucket or cubbie, they wont hurt but you are just wasting your money. It would be to your advantage to make a dirt hole set, post set, flat set;whatever close to your bucket set for critters that dont want to stick their heads in the bucket. This is where you use your fancy lures. Take care Ed
