I was wondering if carp or crow would make a decent bait?

For woodchuck I use veggies, cucumbers have worked well for me when nuisance trapping with live cages. If your in a place where it's safe to use 160's they work well in the entrance to the den. LOL see what happens when you start aging, can't answer questions correctly. Yes Woodchuck is a good bait for K9's and maybe other critters. Night Owl lures makes a bait solution that you add to ground or chunked woodchuck, beaver, muskrat, or what ever else meat you choose to use,I prefer chunked meat, works well. I've also staked down whole woodchucks under a hay set with good results.

Are you kidding, Doug? lol! I thought the exact same thing at first. Then I realized what the OP was asking and thought I'd be a smart arse and type something like, "Well, I think they like crap more than carp, but they will eat crow like the rest of us have to from time to time."

Was hoping to see you at Flatiron, took Brian along as usual, had a good time.

Doug, I have had prior commitments scheduled long in advance of virtually every fur related get-together, Flatiron included, all season long. About the only thing I was able to attend was the Convention in Herkimer last Labor Day weekend. This year, instead of selling (mostly because of no time and not wanting to send anything to auction!), a friend knows a local taxidermist that'll tan all my furs for a very fair price. It figures even better when I don't have to pay for shipping both there and back (he's 15 minutes away!), AND, I get back the exact furs I sent, all within a week or two. I used Moyle Mink and Tannery last year, not a single hole in the entire lot that I sent them and I do NOT employ knife work on the main body while skinning so there's NO explanation for the amount of holes that were in the tanned pelts except that a) they did a lousy job, or b) those weren't the pelts I sent them; I don't know if they regard furs as fungible goods, in the same way that when you get grain back from the elevator it's not YOUR exact grain, or when you take money out of the bank they're not the exact bills you deposited... just of equivalent measure or value... But, it also took 7 MONTHS to get those furs back.
I'll have to wait and see how these turn out before I start crowing about what a good boy am I. But here's hoping, lol!
