Wondering if anyone has gotten any of these, what you think about them, etc. I understand they need inside lams to make NY legal. Anyone?

I bought 24 of them. This is only my 2nd year trapping so take it for what it's worth. Very heavy, probably going to last me a very long time. I showed them to the only other guy I know that has anything to do with trapping (Jim Ward). He said they were kinda over kill. The man that sold them to me (Kendall Obermier) was spot on with everything he told me over the phone. He's the owner and from what he says, is the same guy that builds them. I met his brother at herkimer and he alson seemed like a good guy. Take it for what it's worth I'm brand new.

I have some I will test this year. They are VERY heavy duty. I ordered some jr,s but they won't make the opener unfortunately.

Trying a dozen this season Things for me to watch: - weight of trap, over 4 pounds...how does it effect critters ?? - very strong springs....too much - short lever ends for setting...barely enough to get hands/feet on, how hard to set in field - need inside lams to be NY legal

Mac
These are nice traps, a touch on the heavy side, they each probably weigh 1/3 the weight of our fox. On the bright side I understand he is coming out with a number 2 version for next year. I'm excited to see and handle that trap.

Thanks for the feedback guys. From videos and pics I've seen they do look large and heavy. Sounds like the #2 if built the same way could be a winner. What is the coating on them?

Not really sure. It's not powder coating but it is baked on. Seems pretty tough stuff. I think there will be a smaller model made. Holding the NO BS catalog in hand/ according to it you can order them now.

Wondering if anyone has gotten any of these, what you think about them, etc. I understand they need inside lams to make NY legal. Anyone? I bought a dozen no bs k-9 xtremes lamed, offset & coated this year used all 21 season. Have decided to sell them off on Ebay. Great built trap super heavy duty. That's the only pro, but also a con too. Waaay to heavy to pack any amounts in. Don't like to put down coon or fox if incidentally caught. Had to put down anything caught in these! Severely broken legs and damaged. Didn't feel right releasing so hurt. If you trap up north for big yotes and cats these would be great. Here in western NY were you could potentially catch smaller fox and others. Too powerful. Another con: way to hard to set even with two coil springs. Not my favorite thing to do setting with my feet. I know everyone sings their praise of these. It's just my opinion. Something to consider for the xtreme cost. By one and try it out before investing in a lot of them. It may work for you fine.
