I'm going to be putting out some set for yotes on my hunting lease in fort ann . The ground is extremely rocky, what's the best way to stake the trap? I'm not sure I'll be able to drive a stake 18in. Into the ground .. Thanks

I have places here where you cannot get any kind of stake in the ground. I cut a grey birch using a long chain and a short cable I use a fence staple and I am good to go. Coyote wont take that very far. When its time to go I cut cable and walk away. Works for me.

I trap in very similar ground. Very rocky. This year I've really come to appreciate drags. If I think it's a little too open to use them, I will prehook them to a small bush. Once a coyote gets caught and they try to run away, the bush holds them for a little while and they start circling. Which holds them right there. I have 8-10' of chain on my drags.
