Just looking at shock springs for my yote traps.anyone use these? What brands and sizes are worth it? Never used them before but seems like they will help a lot.thanks.

I bought 2 dozen used traps this year for coyote and they have the PIT springs on them. This is my first time using them.
Hopefully will have some critters test them out this year.

Put them on all of our K9 line.....Just picked up 2 Dozen at Zerbe... we went with the JC Connors T bar style....In my eyes they are definitely worth the money

i used to use them on all my traps when i staked with rebar,ive switched to earth anchors and along with the 24 hr checks i no longer use them....if i were trapping for the live market id use the for sure....

I like the PIT shock springs. The open design makes cleaning out a lot easier. I have had T bars on other brands freeze together during bad conditions as well. I feel there is a reduced chance of binding and prying open of J hook attachment too with the PIT- although I'd still recommend welding all connectors. Haven't had a coyote damage a PIT or JC Conner yet. Cant say that for sleepy creek
