imo it's just another excuse for fur buyers to rip off hapless, innocent trappers. Just like log buyers... all fur buyers are crooks! :>)
I saw that phrase written on a wooden stretcher board somewhere, recently <lol>

on a serious note, couple years ago a college student (female) from FLCC was at the GVTA sales with Scott Smith examining every muskrat there for age, sex and kidney spots presence. They were finding them prevalent from the 1st sale in mid-December straight thru to the March sale.
I'd like to hear what if any info or data resulted from that study.
