Believe it or not, it seems tougher in a way to live as close as I do; instead of it being a no-brainer to accept Von's invitation to stay and join in the festivities, I have pressing things to attend to at home, which is less than 20 minutes away on a bad driving day. "I'll be back in a little while, I only live about 16 miles away" generally turns into "I'm not going to make it back tonight." That's not a complaint, being this close significantly ups the odds that I'll be at the convention in the first place, but it also reduces the commitment level for being there the whole time. The temptation to leave here late to make it to a demo, etc., "because it's only a few minutes away" gets a lot stronger, too. At any rate, just sorry to have missed out on some obvious great times with you guys.

I spent most of the day at the Convention. To the ones that put the convention together great job to you folks! I had great time hanging out with Von and flatiron gang and met some other people from the forum . I got to meet Mark Zagger and watch his demo. Mark is great guy definitely extremely knowledgeable on coyotes . My hat goes off to him for that much work . Thank you for great time guys! Mike

I hope Von & I staying up late wasn't too disruptive to everyone else. I was up at 4:30am and saw no other signs of life around me then.

Was good to meet Austin and Von, wish i could have met more of you guys.
Thanks to all the folks that did demos. I learned a lot and you guys deserve a ton of credit for getting up there and doing those.
Can't wait for next year when i can stay longer and take part in the flatiron festivities.

Lonnie, I turned in at 10:30pm and was up & dressed at 4:30am. Between the constant expressway traffic, several passing trains whistling and a distance voice creaking things like, "So fuzznuts took the dogs and..." all night long, I would not qualify those few hours as my most restful sleep ever. btw... it's not a mud-pack, it is called "age-defying cream". Part of the whole manscaping program, I can refer you to my product representative if you'd like more information on that

This get together just keeps getting better and better.....To all of you that have never made it, you don't know what your missing !! In my eyes it just wouldn't be the NYSTA states without camp Flatiron on a Friday night !! Great food, great friends and Great Times !! Love the idea of Camp Crew shirts Von, let's make that happen !!

I think I'll plan on camping out there next year. And if it gets to be too, um, er... pungent?, I can always walk home. Sorry Von, but that last bit of that batch of beer won't last 'til next year. But then again, I've got a new recipe that I'll be trying out and if it works, why there just might be a 5-gallon keg of it to bring along. And, might be we'll have to have a hard cider taste-testing competition along with it? Now THAT could turn the air toxic!!!

My first year and I want to thank every one, just sorry I wasent in better shape. Next year you will all be stuck with me for at least 3 days. Just a great bunch of down to earth guys who just make you feel welcome. The food, my hats off to the cooks we take for granted how much time they spent slaving. I thought I was going to rest a little bit in the truck but the pooch didn't wake me until 3 am so I missed most of the festivities, didn't hear a thing 30 ft from the party,i think the steady idle from Zags truck made me sleep like a baby.I got plans to wrap the tent pipes with pipe insulation to protect Zags head it got hard to watch after awhile lol. Von looked rough in the morning but I watched Lonnie climb outta his tent and thought he had got run over in the middle of the night. Having a ball today with the pup today cant even use the crapper without him beside me sleeping arrangements have to change tonight because if the wife cant cuddle that close to my face Yellers not either. Again want to thank everyone and I mean everyone for welcoming me into the Flat Iron Family.

Had a great time with the flatirom crew I hope the perch and venison were ok, I tryed all the other foods and they were great. I got to get with zagger and von for there expertise on the design for the shirts, on the front a flatiron scheme and on the back will be I survived the flatiron 2015 in the 15 dollar range depending on the size. The flatiron to me is like a trapping group like no other with some of the best trappers in ny state, lots of knowledge and bull are let out but a great group of friends willing to help people in any way that comes .there is the trappers relief fund that helps fellow trappers in need.if any trappers can make it to zerbie we will be having a auction for this fund please send or bring donations as the fund is getting low. To get hold of me for donations everett cooper 315 436 5370 thank you cooper67.

First off, This has to be one of the best group of knowledge sharing groups I have ever been involved with. Thanks to everyone. Now Thursday started off a little windy and started to calm around dark. The rest of the weekend turned out to be beautiful. Yes camp Flatiron seems to be getting bigger every year. Julia won a pack basket Saturday after noon and took 2nd place in the trap settin contest 8 and under . So make that 2 tee shifts 1xl and 1 kids small Coop. I may see you all at Zerbie.

Place has turned into a cur puppy mill......next year, I'm bringing Gina's foo-foo dogs!
Saqualie's new little pup was a lover.......and a mute!
The cur guys even dress the same....leather boots, dark socks, shorts, Cur shirts and hats (most words misspelled). Like the Amish, they have their own matching wardrobes of choice.
Some hillbilly shite...........like going to the Walmart of the dog world.
Place needs some Irish influence.......
Not shockingly, therefore, the Redneck Caviar I made was well received, and not a drop left!
Always a good time and good to put some names with some faces....next year, I will park my running-truck a little further away!
Special acknowledgement to Dan McCann for doing all that he did AND keeping the place clean and orderly, which is a challenge in its own category, all by itself.
Until next time!
