Why would you guys go into the woods when you have that 1200 sq ft condo/treestand to lounge around in?

Well technically Mac, I do need to walk threw the woods to get to it. And there is the off chance I could pass a bowhunter sitting up in a tree like a "cave man"

Be careful of the ones on the ground using a natural blind....you could step on them while walking in the woods on your way to it.

I'm actually friends with the owners of Santillo's who has all those tractor trailers and reefer trucks at the state fair concessions. He does the bulk of NY and a few other state fairs, too. I'd be willing to be his annual gross from those shows only is about yours and Stanley's combined five-year income total, and I'll include the furs you both sell along with pop cans picked up alongside the road to boot There is money in food vending, boys. Careful what you disparage when you are ignorant of reality. Another relative of a close friend of mine does those spiral potatoes you nosh down at the carnivals. You know those ones where they spiral peel one potato, load it with cheese and bacon bits, hit you up for $3.50 and another $1 for the drink? Well, they work a circuit from April to Dec between the northeast states and then Florida, take off Jan thru March and do nothing. Knock down $60k - $70k in those nine months of hard work. Not quite what a ranch fox operation yields, but that ain't too bad for a seasonal income <grin>

Time to get your pre-season dirt holes dug and anchors in but be careful someone does not come along and fill them in like what happened to me last year. The other trapper said it might be uneffical to fill them in but it is not illegal.
