Finally connected on my first NY bird of 2014.
On the 3rd, had a gobbler at 30 yards and couldn't get a good shot.
On the 6th, had the same gobbler spot me when he was at 20 yards before I could get a shot at him.
Roasted him two nights later and was 30 yards from him when he flew down and went the other way. Haven't heard him since.
Found another turkey last weekend and worked him for 4-1/2 hours and got him to 40 yards and missed him.....
Went to a buddies house yesterday who had heard birds on and off the last couple weeks. Struck a gobble at 7:15 and put him down at about 8:00.
17-1/2 lbs, 10" beard and 1" & 1-1/16" spurs.
Will post pics soon if i can.

Just shot bird #2 about an hour ago. The one that i missed after the 4 hour hunt last week. This time i called him and his hens in and was done before 6.
He had a 9-1/4" beard and 1" spurs. Didn't weigh him yet, but similar to bird # 1.
Now i have to find someone to go out and hunt with! Left another bird gobbling across the road from where I got this one..........
