Anyone got suggestions on the pro's and con's to the traditional pack basket vs. the plastic ones. Will be looking for one at the NYSTA convention. Durability and modification ability would probably guide me based on opinions here. Never having one I'm not sure on the opening size. I tend to carry alot of stuff.
Thanks

Yes. I saw them as well. A bit more money but them seem durable enough.

I bought the biggest Loring the convention had---24" was $109.00 which I did not think was that bad .The guy stood on it which sold me.I had been using the basket I bought back in 1971 from O.L. Butchers which I want to retire to my wall while it is in good shape.I also bought a like new Alice pack at the convention with a garbage can insert for $45 which I thought was excellent for my mountain trapping.Large outside pockets for bait and urine and 4 oz lure bottles.Plus it cinches closed on the top in case I take a heasder down the hill.
