Last night after dinner I went down to the farm I trap to see what I could see. Stopped at the swamp, found a very large bever repairing his dam. Then I walked down aways and found another bever "smaller by half" plugging up the culvert. I stood there not 15' away watching when, the bev noticed me , it slapped it's tail then started swimming back and fourth across the 25' ditch, it stayed within 15' of me but just going back and fourth, this went on for 10 minutes or so, then started getting dark so I left. Not sure why the bev did that, I was thinking maybe it was the big bevs wife and they had little ones near, maybe she was protecting them? So what do you guys think? I'll stop down tomorrow evening with my camera and hopefully get some good shots.

Very common, just trying to scare you off. Guess those Beaver are pretty bold. Think I'll stop down tonight and see how the dam is coming along.

If I didn't know better I'd think Walleyed was picking on my spelling ;D. Hey good luck fishing tonight.
Went back tonight after dinner, Mrs. Beaver was home, didn't see dad or the kids. I'm thinking dad was to beat to come out tonight, he did a real nice job fixing up that dam, must have worked all night. I made a Castor mound up stream of the dam 30' or so, smeared a bit of Ontario on it with a stick and then laid the stick on the back side of the mound. Wasn't sure just how big to make it, I made it about 5" high, maybe the diameter of a paper plate. I'll stop tomorrow or Friday and see if it's been messed with.

Stopped after work yesterday evening to check the castor mound I made, Mr. Beaver payed a visit, looked like he put some of his own mud on the mound, could see marks in the mud where he came out of the water. Next season, looks like a good spot for my MB750
