we bought this in the largest group of traps we (Dale and I) ever purchased we each kept one trap and sold the rest note the padded trap this is a trap my brother brought back from Viet Nam 150 Newhouse with just a little green paint left on it a couple of Coopers a hand-forged trap I kept it because it was small about a size 2 I don't know what it is, made by Amos Mfg. I bought it because of the engineering that went into it 2 old Newhouses, one has a slick pan which makes it quite interesting a #3 Newhouse this has a unique spring safety that I have never seen on any other trap KB prototype, one of 10 that Kurt had made we paid $100 a piece for them, if you want to see one Tom Parr has it in his trap museum in Ohio

The first one is the "Armadillo" it catches the rat in the foot trap then the cover comes over the animal and the trap lifts up and the trap releases the animal. Really a complicated way of catching muskrats alive.----------Look at those old Newhouse traps how well they still work after over a hundred years -----I will say Kurt's trap is an improvement so are other designs-----it took me a couple years to" Discover" how well the 11 works on coon and the other animals that wound up in them----when coon were high I blind set trails with them 220's work but there ain't no catch and release --------thats how I started collecting traps looking for the perfect one to do it all!!! -----------still looking---------Tom
