quick ? , Does the state lisence ID # stay the same year after year (last season was 1st year trapping NY state) i pose this ? as i prepare for next season and would like more durable trap tags (i normally use the zinc tags but they are not very durable when u catch critters) so im not replacing constantly since im expanding my line to a couple hundred sets for next season, i use ID# not name and address for personal reasons but dont want to order tags that have to be changed each season. thanks in advance

The number that stays with you, that you use is the 12 digit DOC number looks like 1234-5678-9876 on your license. I use the number also instead of name etc....

Just remember....when theirs an issue the law will always be involved. Most times you will be contacted by someone if something arises. If you only have your id# they have to contact law enforcement.

completely understand your point chappy, however i go to extra links to make my trapping as "transparent" as possible and legal so issues are not likely, however i have had phone calls, and hate letters dropped in my mail box, and even had my tires slashed and red paint splashed on my vehicle (years ago) when i used name and address so its a sore subject (name on traps) with me, and i will only go back to it if the law changes to make that the only option, theres pro's and con's to both
