Don't order anything to modify those traps. They are extremely strong and already have a baseplate. If you 4 coil them, you will need a setter

They don't need to be beefed up plenty strong enough the way they are I never had a yote pull out

I use this trap for coyote, stock out of the box. No coyote has ever pulled out of them

The ones i had i laminated the jaws. That is a very stout trap 2 coiled.

I too bought a dozen, they will hold anything that steps on the pan right out of the box. Excellent trap for the price almost as cheap as dukes AND THERE MADE IN AMERICA, that goes along way with me as it should with all of us Americans

I have had a dozen of the 1 7/5s for a long time and the only mods I did was add the Paws pit pans with a nitelatch and they are Awesome trap!
