I live in western Wayne county, border Wayne/Monroe. I've lived here for 30 years and rarely see more than a flock or two in the Spring. This spring I have been seeing flock after flock, 1000's. Anyone else notice this or know why? May have to start hunting them. ;D

Seneca Lake has a huge raft of snow geese on it it's impressive! There have been alot of snows in the Fingerlakes the last few years.

They migrate as far north as the snow pack. they have usually gone through by mid-march but have been stalled in our area for a couple weeks. they are spread out more to the west than normal. Canadga , victor, Macedon. We hunt them hard, once you try it you're hooked! they're 10 times smarter than a canada though! Lots of decoys and frustrating days!

I saw some this week in a field near South New Berlin. We used to have snow geese on our pond every year when i was growing up. Then i only saw them occasionaly for the next 30 years. Now i see them more frequently. I read somewhere their populations are exploding in the midwest.
