There are some legit courses online, but nothing beats in person experience. Good luck finding a course; I couldn't find one near where I live so I took a course online, studied up by watching youtube vids of experienced and non-experienced trappers alike, and I look forward to making a lot of mistakes on the field this upcoming season. The more, the better. Learning is easier that way.

How do you take a course online?? I've never heard of that before in New York.
Sent from my ADR6350 using proboards

Well, NYS doesn't offer them, but Kansas does. It's like an online class, you have to read what they give you and pass a few tests. It doesn't substitute live experience, but you can get your certificate (State of Kansas) in order to get a license.
