I have been thinking about bowfishing season coming up in May. I end up with a lot of carp. I was wondering what is the best non freezer way to make up some good coon bait also if there is anyone near by me in Wyoming co. or willing to come get some I will have plenty of extra ;D

Idk how many good baits you would get from this but I once read somewhere if you take an fill like a metal trash can with your carp keep it outside in the shade away from the house a bit put like a tshirt or some sort of covering on the can under the lid to keep flys out an leave it all summer by fall you should be able to scrape the fish oil off he topiv never done it but sounds like it should work?

We made fish oil on a grand and glorious scale, several large barrels with tubes run out of the top into water to keep the flies from blowing the goodness------the neighbors were sure glad when we and the fish were done!!-----I would salt the chunked fish in 5 gallon buckets------you should be able to find buckets with lids from a restaurant---------we also salted bullheads and sold all we could catch-----with fur prices you might try selling some------Tom

We bought mixing salt at a feed mill(cheap) layer of salt layer of fish, the carp I would chunk about the size of your fist---mink are greedy and I would like a big bait same for coon also a good book to get on mink was written by Bud Hall , Thorpes video come hell or high water I liked putting the bait up high or on a 220 trigger kept the mice from eatin' it---------Tom
