It is best to check those places out in fall before you go to make shure that beaver dams are active that you want to trap.

One way to find out is to go scout it. Also, no one who is trapping there now is going to encourage you to trap there. Thanks

This year is not in the plans,I'll have to get up there some time in the summer/fall.
Just want a remote location away from most other trappers(if possible)

lots of ponds in the Adirondacks..i got about 20 with in 10 miles and everyone has got beaver..well maybe not now because of this big fur boom..ive been seeing lot of new faces up my way ive never seen..lots of pressure and trap shy beaver lol..come with the game i guess..also lot of missing gear not just from me but few other trappers i know..proratman hit it no one is going to encourage you to come trap there turf..find a camping spot with a few ponds within a reasonable driving distance that takes up most of the day to run and scout scout scout and then hit it hard.. at least that's what i would do haha..did you have any areas in mind anyways??
