This may be dumb question, and this has not happened to me so far, but I read a lot of posts that say fur was stolen from traps. My question is how do you know its stolen fur and not a pull out or something getting stuck in jaws that prevents good hold, etc ? Obvious blood on the ground would be give away, but the animal could be picked up before it bleeds no?

Typically the trap is gone too But footprints in the catch circle are a tip-off that Johnny sneak-um beat you to the critter

When you get to your set with a larger conibear trap, and it is laying on the bank with its springs compressed.

Typically the trap is gone too But footprints in the catch circle are a tip-off that Johnny sneak-um beat you to the critter X2, in my 2 "stolen critter" instances this season (aside from a puddle of blood) they didnt even attempt to not leave foot prints in and around catch circle, just hope with this years prices, critter thieving doesnt become an epidemic next season!!!!
