Someone took the liberty to relieve me of a 220. These things happen but everytime it happens it seems like the first time. I hope it doesn't happen to you. Ed

Hate it when that happen's, sorry to hear about it. I've been lucky so far this year, I've only had a skunk stolen this year. I guess they couldn't get the trap out of the ground.

Trap thieves story....My first year trapping...My grandfather gave me 3 traps...I caught enough rats to pay for a dozen #1 long springs....set them in "my" rat pond....next day...they were all gone. Off subject...Loc on deer stand I hunted from for 4 years...shot alot of deer out of it with bow and gun...opening morning rifle season...walk up to my tree to find all my climbing spikes and stand gone!!! I hunted that opening day for a deer stand..... with a 30-06. Just a bad feeling in the pit of your gut that doesn't go away.

I haven't had any traps stolen yet but I'm new so it will happen. Did walk to my deer stand more than once to find it gone. I have had the same thing happen to me. I have had several hang on type stands stolen over the years. "Knock on wood", I trap in some nice areas & usually the land owner knows who's on their property. Sorry to hear this happened Ed !

Had 3 close calls in the last 3 days in different areas where traps ALMOST walked. All on private property with me being the only one with permission to trap.Their crawling out of the woodwork-wish they'd crawl back before somethin bad happens. What was alot of work and alot of fun is starting to turn into alot of work and alot of worry.

Recently with the snow on the ground in my trapping territory I have seen where someone else has "checked my traps" for me. They follow my tracks just close enough to my cubbies and poles to see if there was a catch. I am thinking with the snow all but gone now I might better move all my sets before all the traps and cubbies are gone. Thing is, I think I know who it is. I met this "fellow trapper" in the area. He seemed nice, we chatted, told some lies, etc. Big guy, size 14 I am guessing. If you view this forum...thanks...but I can check my own sets just fine. I have seen many of your sets as I attempt to expand my line. Have NEVER disturbed any of them. And left the area to you.
