Hello new here signed up a few months ago to ask questions, but most are all ready answered, really like the site and all the info... thanks to all of you Anyway I got a red fox the other day and it appears that a coyote had killed it(after getting caught in trap). Just wondering how often this happens. Thanks

depends upon the coyote population in your area....but I usually lose 1-2 each year to them

I had a grey with big bite marks on the rump, was told most likely a coyote.

yup had a yote or 2 that was "patrolling" my coon sets and raided 3 coon in a week, put some K9 sets in the mix and they wanted nothing to do with those, took a likin to the fresh live coons i reckon, ended up pulling coon sets from that area

Thats why you set multiples, get the fox AND the yote

never had it happen until thi year it happern with a nice red at beginning of season and a winter grey just about two weeks ago..funny thing about the grey was they never touched it when i layed it there and reset the traps around it..just wanted to see if id pick one up on the carcass..well it sat for a week with nothing but one track around it..so i take the fox and toss it a few hundred yard down the trail with a trap on it and bammm..got my first winter yote..very slight rub..real nice dog..thought id throw that in there..it worked for me maybe it will work for someone else on their line or maybe a nice change up when your trying to get that tricky dog..i also gave the carcass a shot of red fox urine when i make the set
