Don't know what they bring will get it tanned saw some at the fur sale but didn't pay attention to the price, last couple seasons have caught a few "exotics" ,cross fox, spotted skunk and bumped some big cats, those things leave a lot of sign --------Tom

Is that what they Call a Coatimundi or Civet-Cat ?
I had never seen a live one, a skinned, Put-Up Pelt, or a actual Photograh.
Only Black and White Line Drawings or Illustrations from Old Trapping Books.
Are they rare around you, or are they caught frequently ?
Thanks for sharing.

I have fresher and turned ears and split lips on those ring tails. They are very thin skinned critters and have feet much like a cat.

It's called a ring tailed cat, I think they're more common to the south. I've had pretty good sucess selling tanned skins of odd furbearers and common ones like skunks, it amazes me how people that live somewhere all their lives don't know what's in their own backyards. Most people I talk to don't know that they've got muskrats in their ditches or spotted skunks --------- I think thats why some people don't like what I do(trap) they're jealous small minded petty %&*&-------Tom
