I bought one to try . I like the chain set up and because I'm a huge fan of PIT trap pans. No levers to clog and good sized offset . Heavy trap to carry if you walk a lot. Well worth the money if you want one of the best coyote traps . I have only caught fox in mine. All caught had minimal paw damage despite the heavy springs. To me they are like four coiled bridgers with a cast jaw . Ready to use just as they come. Wax and go. FWIW, I will add, last week during the thaw I did have two coons pull out of it easily because of that big offset, so they are strictly a canine trap.

I have used them in both sizes.......You cannot go wrong with them. For me, if I am spending that kind of money on a Cadillac-trap, I want it to be dogless......thus the Sterlings and Jakes.
Not because I think dogs throw paws out of traps but just because a dog is one more think to mess with and possibly get chewed up by a coyote.
Still, if you put a gun to my head and said I had to use nothing by CC's this year, I'd think my catch would not suffer in the least.
