This business with Proboards restricting us to sell guns on this forum is constantly eating at me. Not because I want to buy or sell guns but the princepal of them telling us we cant and us saying Yes Sir! Its pathetic and EMBARRESING to be honest! I dont claim to even come close to knowing how this site is opperated so this isnt a dig at Wane or anyone else. But because of my ignorrance I guess I need to hear a REALY GOOD answer as to why we put up with this garbage. We are always fighting for our rights in NY state but we sit bye as our own forum is regulated by Anti's. Look at the incredible outcome of the Harrisburg Sportsshow. Its straight up crap and unless we are a bunch of spineless Sally's which last I checked we werent, then what is the reason? Whatever it may be I think that everyone who loves this site would help to do whatever is necessary to remedy this problem. Because IT IS a problem.

Basic Proboards Forums are free of any fees so they pretty much have us by the shorthairs......I know that there are other Forum platforms available, but these charge monthly fees and if we ever did choose to go that route, I don't know if we would retain all the prior posts from the last 7+ years.

I don't think that would be an issue, but you can't post that you have a gun for sale on the Forum so getting to the PM may be hard

The fee-based software packages have one-time purchase costs and then monthly web-server fees indefinitely. So someone would have to pay several hundred dollars per year for that route... simply for the sake of selling guns here?

A couple hundred bucks p/year is nothing. Curious as to what the monthly costs are? The big thing would be losing past posts obviously. I dont think everyone would have a problem throwing a muskrat or two once a season towards the cause. Someone with more computer skills than me may be able to figure out the lost posts thing. Just doesnt seem like it would be a huge thing to save history to to something like an expansion drive. I'm sure its ALOT more complicated than that. I was looking for an answer and I got it. So thank you.
