Family site.....my guess would be the title you started out with.....and then went on to mention you were no longer gonna pay for a hunting or trapping license, thats some good ethics right there My guess would be one of the Moderators axed it........

It may be the one I deleted. You wish to post your opinions as a Gentlelman and in a civil way you may do so. All you want to. Otherwise they may be deleted. Got a problem with that. Take it up with Wayne.

As much as everyone pisses and moans about trap thieves on here, how is it any different if we all quit buyin a license, doesnt that just make us all thieves...stealin from everyone in the state..........the $120 I spend each year for licenses allows me one full year to enjoy the great outdoors with my wife and family, try takin that same $120 and takin the family to dinner and a movie or dinner and Bowling....after about 2 outings that money will be gone....yet I still have the whole rest of the year to enjoy with my family...........Guess what Im tryin to say is in my eyes that $120 is a cheap price to pay, I hate all these gun laws too but how do you claim your gonna screw the state and then keep buyin gas and Lotto tickets and.........the list goes on and on.....

well that is a good point......and yes no stabbing needs to be done.......yes 120 may sound cheap but when they see people still pay there gonna say hey lets make it more.....there still paying.......are you going to pay $1000 for a license? or have to draw a permit and hope to get one........where do we draw the line for a alright price and too high.....each year it goes up $10 you just ahh its just $10.....but $10 every year makes a difference...........or how about when they want more money for you to be able to trap state land or county land

Centro iwill have to admit that some of what you say makes sense cause most of the guys who fish will remember the deal with buying a seperate TROUT lic that they wanted to impose on us a few years back when everyone lic fee is supposed to go for stocking ect. These kinds of things are definitly an attempt to see how far they can go.I wonder sometimes when some of them will realize that they work for JOHN Q PUBLIC and if it were not for our tax dollars and Lic. fees they would be on the unemployment line.

oldeman maybe im not just the wise guy everyone thinks i am .........maybe i see the things that just blow by everyone elses eyes .....was at the state capital building yesterday all day long.......know what i saw.......guys wearing clothes that cost too much, cars that cost too much and them fighting for power for bragging rights......this state is becoming greed and the power to get more money......do you think a law maker cares about natural resources......no he cares about the bennys he will get from everyone

I have heard a lot of people talking about not buying licenses this year to protest the states actions with the gun control BS.I thought it was just people talking, not an actual movement?

Ya know.. I read this and see Every One's point.. When I get PO'd about it..I look at how long the seasons are.. Big Game tag.. Comes with a buck and a bear tag.. And that now runs from Oct1- Dec 18th*this year*. Yeah, $10 for a DMP is BS (especially here.. We have no deer) if you buy a Sportsman's license.. But there were some smart guys like Woj, who got the life time ones for himself and kids before they went up (All the kids Nick? I can't remember).. He busted his butt that summer.. If I lived close to the PA border and work was close.. I would get the NY life time tags and move to PA! Trapping.. Dang long seasons for most of us too.. No tags for otter, fisher, cats.... Lots of places don't have that.. But, I get the beef.. Everything here cost so much $$ to begin with.. To keep tacking on another $5 or $10 hurts. Sure they can say they didn't raise the price on S/L tags.. But $10 for the DMP is a cost increase..... Watch for they Governor to try and charge the lifetime license holder for postage and for the DMP tags..

You have to go to an issuing agent to get your DMP with lifetime but no charge, I do it every year. What is even better is I am over 70 so I get my muzzle loader the same way and no charge all you have to do is live longer than you are supposed to and you can beat the system a little. I love it besides it now only costs me$5 to have the right to go out and catch as much fur as i can.

He will twist BHO's line (speaking of shovel ready jobs) from "Shovel ready wasn't as shovel ready as we thought" to "Lifetime licenses aren't really lifetime"

its me, I tried to reply yesterday but it didnt go through so im trying now. to those of you who didnt get a chance to read my first thread, it was about not supporting those who support the new gun laws. I said, if places like walmart and dicks pull ammo and guns from there shelves I would no longer shop at there store and I said I was thinking about not giving the state 120 bucks next year out of protest. I dident say I was gonna hunt and trap without it. My theory was if you look at the money WE SPORTSMEN generate not only for this state but for this country with licenses, clothing, gear gas ect. you name it, if we were NOT ABLE to do what we love to do then how much money would be spent on it ? What are we, that stupid ? They think we are. What will be next, you dont need a trap to catch a dog. I believe in standing up for what you believe in and yes Im new to this forum and computer so I dont know any of you and if you dont care for what i have to say thats fine. I came on this site to get info on trapping and give some if I thought I could help someone. Sit back and just complain, show no action, thats what they want and by the time you realize what they have done to you-me and the rest of this country its gonna be to late. Like I said in my first thread, I dont know what the answer is, maybe we have to wait 4 years but I WILL NOT SUPPORT THEM.

this country is pushing us into a smaller box everyday........they want total control.......i worked 52 hours this week.....more then some people less then others but my point is im getting taxed more because i earned more so someone out there can work 15 hours a week total and live better then me and the state wants more of my money........they are going to take all they can.......do you think are trapping licenses are going to decrease in price in the future.......no they will just go up when the state spends to much money or someone in office needs a new $100,000 car.......call me a basher, an @ss, what ever you want but the truth of this state and government cant be denied

hey centro44, I feel your pain, they take out 530 bucks out of me a week in taxes and union dues on a 40 hr week. The union dues are 130 so 400 of that goes to the state and federal, what a joke ! 530 bucks, what the @#$$. Obama/##!@^& wants more. What they do instead of taking a cut in pay is tax us more. If a man was going to stand up and fight and get a bunch of people behind him it would be like the old saying, Im behind you, WAY BEHIND YOU. No one will stand up and stick together anymore. Its a shame.

that is hard these days to get a good army standing behind.......people are afraid that the worst may happen.....everyone may say i talk crap on here but i speak the truth of what i see in my everyday life.....i get straight to the point and wont beat around the bush.....i have a good friend on this site and i hope he doesnt get upset for me telling this little story......we talk on here alot through PM's.......even though he lives 5 minutes from me lol .......but we were having a discussion on our heros in life......mine is a past outlaw you may say "billy the kid".....he was not a murderer....he stood up for what was right.......my friend said his was the founding fathers of this nation......they would pick up there guns and fight......not for money, greed, power, or reputation.......but because they knew what was right and what needed to be done........he made me just sit and look at my computer and smile.......he was right they were men then and men are hard to find these days
