I was asked to trap some beavers that are bein a nuisance. I caught one this morning but would like to get another set in. I can see where there goin in middle of river but not sure how I could anchor a trap there. Iv got one where I believe there comin from into river but thought another trap on same run would be nice. I'm using 280s right now. Any help would be appreciated.

I have staked 330s in open water runs and cabled them off to cement blocks. Haven't lost a trap like that yet. Good luck.

Drill a hole thru a flat bit of wood.. Like a paint stick.. and run a cable thru (or wire). Then when you fill the bag and tie/wire it shut.. You have a good anchor point Gary on here told me that

i thought about a castor mound but didnt know if it would work in this sub zero weather. iv managed to catch two of them probably 35 and 45 lbs give or take. being my first year trapping ive never tried catchin them before but i found a little back wash that was deep and a nice little channel about the size of my trap that looked used. so i planted on where it meets the deep hole and thats where i got the two. one comin out one goin in.
i tried putting one on what looked to be a run they were using goin to middle of river but so far no luck...im thinkin they are probably goin around it but figured i wouldnt catch'em if i didnt put a trap in lol.
thanks for the advice to!
