Guys when you are using dry dirt is there anything you do to get it to pack better so the loose gritty feeling dosnt have fox scratching out the sets? I have a 55 gal barell to use but i have had problems in the past. Any tips are greatly apreciated.

Contaminated by mice? ? Impossible..... That just made it better..... My dirt sets are designed to look like a hole where a mouse has been running in and out of the hole.... Several times I have found mouse nests in my dirt box. I take the nests and shove them down my dirt holes... Works great!

I could see the scratching at the flat sets but would have thought your dirt holes would have been fine..I see more scratching with grey's versus reds. Have had refusals at my hay sets too...I think with my conversations with Alan that I was making the hay circle to small. Haven't had a chance to test the theory with all the snow.
