Hi guys- Just got done reading Science Of Trapping by EH Kreps. It was written in the early 1900' s and it was pretty interesting to read about trapping before the invention of body grippers. Also it is a free download on a Kindle if any if you own one of those. Happy trapping

lol! That's one of the first books I ever had on trapping. Got it back in 1968, ordered it from the Fur-Fish-Game along with a few others. ! Same here, back then all we had were those FFG/Harding books, I purchased several of them and still have them. My favorite was "The Trappers Companion"......used to look forward to those books showing up in the mail in that brown envelope....

Hi...
Yes, I have those books and several others. Some were informative, others not quite so. I think my favorite trapping book is "Trails to Successful Trapping" by V.E. Lynch (I think...I'll have to check).
That book not only had some of his interesting stories, but several photos of his assorted catches. I highly recomend it.
Yup...just double-checked...thet's the right book and the right author. Happy reading...!!

I bought those 2 books as a kid back in the early 70's.I think at the time they were $1.50/each.Seemed like the best bang for the buck with so many pages.I also bought the mink trapping book Harding had out.Not much for methods out back then other than FFG for a kid to learn from.I do remember my cousin nailing a dead chicken to a pine tree and catching a gray fox when he was about 10.
