Still learning the basics of trapping so bear with me if this question is too basic. So I dyed and waxed my k9 traps then used them this season with the time that I had available to trap. I cleaned off all the mud and dirt with a hose, seems like there is still some wax left on the traps though. My question is how to dye and wax them for next year with wax still on them from this year? Do you just use the normal process, or do you have to remove all the wax before re dye and waxing?

Just by boiling & redyeing them next year you can remove the majority of the wax but for a better prep, you can remove the wax by boiling them in either lye or "The Works" tolit bowl cleaner.

Ok thanks. I'm guessing "the works" will be easier to get. Will this leave a scent on the traps though?

After you boil them in lye or "the Works" wash them off with water and dye/wax as usual. No odor problems.....
