If you wish, go ahead and delete every post I made in that thread except for the ones where I thanked you for sharing and input. When I have enough free time I will start a red fox trapping thread, and hold general conversations about a wide range of topics relative to fox trapping in there.

P.S. - go ahead and restore free access, there is nothing more to be said in there other than hay sets conversation. It would have remained hay set conversation and offshoots of related side conversations in civilized fashion had it not decayed to personal barbs, insults and degradations in response to alternate questions and comments. In the fox trapping thread I open, we'll discuss all manner of sets construction including hay sets, baits, lures, traps and gear, remakes... everything except dispatch. Anyone is welcome to question anything, to poke or prod anyone else' ideas or input EXCEPT making personal barbs, veiled insults and character attacks. That type of schoolyard behavior is beneath all of us here, including myself and others. Not to mention worthless if not counter-productive. Therefore, I have nothing more to say or add in Alan's thread. If desired, mods or myself can delete all posts as noted with my full blessing. Other than that, look forward to visiting with fellow fox trappers in here soon

I'm sure every single one of those hits couldn't wait to see which tidbit of fox trapping knowledge would be added next

Austin,
You and Alan have to be the only two "day traders" or investors who both trap in the country. My goodness, you think bye gones could be bye gones....... You two should right a column half trapping, half investing.
I enjoy both your perspective, simply because I have no doubt your both better at trapping then me...... but not investing!

Austin, You and Alan have to be the only two "day traders" or investors who both trap in the country. My goodness, you think bye gones could be bye gones....... You two should right a column half trapping, half investing. I enjoy both your perspective, simply because I have no doubt your both better at trapping then me...... but not investing! I don't invest.. I gamble for a living. There is a BIG difference I always welcome two-way conversation and mature questions about everything. I have no problem with making a statement, putting some information out there in public as I know it to be at the time, and have any number of people pick it apart. What remains at the end stood the test of scrutiny. What no one needs to do is turn things personal and belittle the questioner. That I have no tolerance for, at all. If one puts something out there as a statement or belief, then objectively handle the questions and comments in return. I've said it before in public and will say it again: in my opinion it's obvious Alan is highly intelligent, studious, accomplished fox trapper and gracious to invest time sharing info with others. I enjoy sharing info just the same. If/when Alan & I ever meet in person, I have no doubt at all we'd make fast friends
