Every day that I was running before daylight, I spooked a lot of rabbits. Also, walking in the deer woods before sunrise, I have kicked up plenty during the season.

Mike...what is the relationship between your fox population and rabbits during these "boom" years?

Right now Dale its hard for me to tell...I got a late start trapping...I`m trappin ground thats already been trapped so my catch is off a little...Got alot of mange too...Once we get some snow I`ll know for sure whats up with the canines...Some of these places look like Ireland with all the bunnies runnin around...I`ve never seen so many before so I really cant form an opinion on up and down cycles...I would assume with the bunnies being up the canines would be down...we`ll see..

I don't see many cottontails. A lot of squirrels, mice, and chipmunks though.

Hardly any rabbits, no squirrels, barely any fox. Have seen signs of mange in the area, coyotes and fox.

No bunnies in my area, have actually only seen a couple rabbits here in the past 5 years. Wish we had more. Fox in my area must be good mousers or starve.

A good amount of rabbits
The fox have not returned to the areas that were flooded last year in our area. Just caught a few reds in the flooded areas where before the flooding they held a good population
