This summer we had a garden again for the first time in about 8 or 10 years. I planted some of these seeds: Which yielded these: Which have lately yielded some of these: I've never had luck with baited sets before. But this pond had a ton of feeding activity around the edge. Two nights with seven footholds placed at previous feeding locations yielded only one sprung trap. So this week I set just one foothold back in the "sprung" location. But this time I mashed a depression in at the waterline with my hammer and jammed one of my smaller garden carrots into the back of the hole. This set then yielded 3 muskrat in 4 nights. After the second night I did enhance it a bit with some of Deer Creek's "Swamp Root Rat Lure".
