I am new to beaver trapping and would like some tips and sets to catch them.

My favorite set is a dam spillway set if you have an open otter season and if not....Castor mound & channel sets work best or me.

Big conibears like 330's and 280's. Big foot holds (drowner sets) like #4, #5 double long springs. I'm new to it also, and so far I've found it a challenge. Good luck.

I like setting the bottom of the channels with a 330 conibear.

Well.. You got the gear.. One DVD I liked was Dobbins Open Water Beaver Trapping.. Very good.. Best thing I can say to do is read, ask and do. The only way to learn is to do it.
