I'm a newbie with a quick question for all you experienced folks out there. When putting up fox, coyote, or coon how do I do the tail? I have seen the tail strippers, and I'm good with that aspect, but what about when you put it up? Is is split from base to tip? Or just a little ways down? Any help/info/pics are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You split it all the way to the tip. otherwise it wont dry. it will rot and the hair will all fall out.

Like Mole said, split it all the way. Make sure it is pinned open so it will dry. You might have to flesh it a little too. Good luck!!

Just one thing to add, when fleshing the tail, be firm but gentle at the same time lol. First time for me i ripped that tail right off....learning experience......Not much fat/grisle there anyway, so just scarpe it a bit easily.....
