Ed I can only assume that you are referring to my reference to the Adirondack Mountains of NY as the the'Dacks. My reference came from the Adirondack Museum www.adkmuseum.org/education/lifewoods_trackdacks.shtml . While I have never had the pleasure to be able to live in the Adirondack Mountains I have wanted to for many years and mean no disrespect for those who currently reside there. Please except my apology

Hello, no apology necessary Wayne, you are not the first or the only. Just wondered where it started. Mr. E.J.Dailey was not only a trapper and lure maker he was also a writer and a good one. He was a little particular on the spoken and written word. These mountains of ours that we call the Adirondacks have spawned many a story and some of the characters involved are truly legends. something to think about. Take Care Ed now to find out what ebonics are.

the catskills are called the catskills.... they have a nickname but its longer ..... and mostly used by the locals who get stuck paying for the services provided by our local county and town governments..... to the invasion of the tax burden free summer population that exist here....jim
