Bought a heck of a lot of new boards this year from rats to adjustable coyotes. Foothills Trappers at Herkimer auction had more on sale so of course I had to buy more. Without a doubt ;D .Others were used so much over past years they were almost sawdust. I have always used linseed oil on them when I get them. I have used linseed close to 40 years now. Anything new out there to use that I am missing? I know,I know. The old saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. Just wondering is all. Thanks for your time. Jack

i use varnish on my boards 3 coats sanded in between then a coat of furniture polish before putting animals on the boards & then at the end of the season helps to keep the animals from sticking even when they get to tight a little tap on the floor & they come off.
