Minnesota Trapline Products
After yet another season of testing we have approved the final design. Hard tooling has been started however our inventory of all Bridger traps is very low. We have changed or are in the process of changing virtually every Bridger trap for the better. We need to get the warehouses filled back up with existing size Bridger traps first and then we will proceed with the new #3 dogless and the redesigned # 1 1/2. I don't know when to tell you that we will have the #3 dogless in stock . Our hopes is that we will be sitting on a pile of them by convention time in August. Thank you. Tim Caven

If they have the same jowspread as the current #3's they'll need inside lams if I'm not mistaken....

Dear Mr. Nightstalker, In your opinion, when jaw laminations are added to a stock trap, should that trap also be 4 coiled? Regards papabear

Dear Mr. Nightstalker, In your opinion, when jaw laminations are added to a stock trap, should that trap also be 4 coiled? Regards papabear IMO...if the trap is new, you can get away with a couple of years before adding 4-coil springs. The extra weight of the lams and the frozen conditions of NY can be tough on 2-coiled traps with laminations. Most likely use of the #3 size Bridger would be for cats or coyotes and adding a 4-coil for either species would not hurt. Maybe Tim will put on music wire springs like on the Montana #3's......guess we'll all see soon I run MB650's and KB5.5's but will absolutely get a dozen to try out. I modify more Bridger traps than any other brand Tom

Dear Mr. Nightstalker, Thank you for your advise. I really like the dogless traps and wish Bridger made one in the #2 size. I currently run Northwoods 1 3/4's and 2's and Bridger #2. I use them for everything from muskrat - coyote and the occasional cat. I think if Bridger had a dogless #2 I think I would run just them for everything. Regards papabear

My understanding is that the Bridger #2 dogless will be tested and released AFTER the #3 is released

Tom...do you forsee any issues inside laminating dogless traps? Depends on the trigger setup Dale. Most likely just a split lam on the trigger jaw, regular lam on the other I have done split lams on Montys, Montanas, etc....just take a little more time
