I fit him in the tote... He squirmed a bit.. Ones I dipped yesterday came out a bit darker.. Added another can of primer and a can of flat black.. More of a chocolate color..

Use brown paint with the white primer and you should get a light tan color
depends on what color you want

Used the leather tan (color) on the 210's ----- this fall came out great-----but next year will try thinning it a bit more. (say a half qt.) of thinner or more may-be a little more.Thinking a dark green may be the color to use.

Flat brown . We diluted flat brown and it not only blended well but wore very well also.

I mixed a gallon of leather brown, gallon of rusty metal primer, and a gallon of acetone. It matched very well with my creek bottoms and banks and nicely in the fields too, to the point that I didn't want to set anything down because I'd have to look for it. It blends way better than the traps I have that are dipped black.
When I dip them again, I will use 2 parts of acetone though.

Does anybody have any thoughts on rustoleum over speed dip? Do you think it will bond/stick?
I've got 3 doz 220's and 2 doz 120's that are SD black that I want to change for next year.

I have a gallon of mineral spirits would it do the same job as acetone..just curious..I'd rather use it than buy another gallon if it does the same job

I tried it. It works. Although it does not evaporate as fast as acetone. And it leaves a little more odor. I used it on all my water traps.
